Healthy eating relieves arthritis? You may have heard about this from everywhere, but how many of you have practiced this age old principle? Scientists have confirmed that eating habits are the key to healthy living. But how does it affect arthritis, is the question we will attempt to answer in this article.

Vegetarian diets are known to be healthy on the body mechanics because our bodies are apt to digesting vegetarian meals easily than non-vegetarian meals. Furthermore, the essential nutrition content such as vitamins, minerals and fibers are readily available in vegetables and fruits.

If you take people suffering from arthritis, many of them will also have mineral imbalance conditions, so that’s another plus point for eating vegetables because vegetables contain all nutritions that anybody will ever want.

Talking about mineral imbalances, there are certain types of food you should avoid. Namely the main culprits are coffee, alcohol and refined sugars. By avoiding these you will help your body to absorb important minerals such as calcium and iron. However, keep your eyes open for proper amounts of iodine, selenium and magnesium as well, as these too are very essential for chemicals to do magic inside your body. If you are wondering how to find these components, add more dark green leaf vegetables, nuts, legumes, whole-grain breads and cereals and kelp to your meals. Even seafood is a good option, provided that you are not allergic to seafood.

Let’s move on to another aspect, but this time about drinking. Not only eating but drinking too has a big impact on one’s health. When it comes to drinks, there’s no other magical portion as pure water. But pay attention to that part about it being ‘pure’! Scientists have concluded that it is best to consume one and half ounce of pure water for every pound of body weight that you carry. Water helps your body purify and get rid of unnecessary toxins. So as you wake up in the morning, start your day with water. You should ideally consume 1 – 1.5 liters. Then wait for at least 30 minutes before you have a bed tea or similar. Continue this practice for at least 1 month to feel the difference of this amazing phenomenon also known as water therapy.
